Adult jiu-jitsu

Part science, part art - studying and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu requires/teaches commitment, discipline, flexibility, humbleness, and a positive attitude. It’s a way to learn more about yourself, as well as connect with others, and for some it becomes a way of life and self expression. We are supportive and welcoming of all who show up to the mats with a friendly attitude and a willingness to learn.

Kids Jiu-Jitsu

Martial Arts and Jiu-Jitsu in particular is great for kids. It builds confidence, problem solving skills, discipline, and comeraderie between other kids. It also teaches self defense, and the skills to safely avoid or manage conflict. It’s a great compliment to traditional team sports, but unlike those, Jiu-Jitsu is something that kids can take with them into adulthood for a lifetime of fitness, progression and community.

group fitness

Our Group Fitness class focuses on general fitness and injury proofing ourselves. We use kettlebells, barbells, bodyweight movements and cardio machines to accomplish this goal. We use these tools with the concepts of progressive strength training, energy system training , mobility work and a focus on having a strong core. We do this in a safe and controlled mindset. Brazilian jiu-jitsu has been the most important teacher in my life. It taught me that if you just keep showing up everyday with a positive attitude that you can achieve anything & everything. Being on the mat is tough but so is life. For both you have to be flexible, resistant, humble & tough and know when to be what. This belt means everything to me but it also means nothing.”
